About the Journal
|
The Journal of Smart Electro-Technology (JSET) is a peer-reviewed, open-access international journal dedicated to publishing pioneering research at the convergence of electrical engineering, intelligent systems, and next-generation electronic technologies. Positioned as a premier scholarly forum for advancing the intelligence, efficiency, and connectivity of modern electronic infrastructures, the journal serves electrical and electronics engineers, IoT developers, automation specialists, and applied computer scientists worldwide. JSET prioritizes high-impact empirical studies, circuit and system design validations, algorithmic optimizations for hardware, and applied Research and Development (R&D) in smart technologies. By synthesizing foundational principles of electromagnetics, power systems, and signal processing with contemporary paradigms of artificial intelligence, edge computing, and smart grid architecture, the journal fosters a deep, comprehensive understanding of how embedded intelligence is transforming both consumer electronics and industrial electro-systems.
Scope and Topics
Reflecting its mandate to advance intelligent electronic and electrical systems, the journal welcomes high-quality original research articles, systematic literature reviews, hardware/software co-design validations, and applied technological case studies within the following thematic areas:
Smart Grids, Renewable Integration & Energy Management: Intelligent power distribution; microgrid architectures and smart metering; power electronics for renewable energy (solar, wind); and energy storage systems and smart charging for electric vehicles (EVs).
Internet of Things (IoT) & Sensor Networks: Design and deployment of wireless sensor networks (WSN); smart home and smart city electronic infrastructures; Industrial IoT (IIoT); and wearable electronics and biomedical telemetry.
Embedded Systems & Edge/Tiny Machine Learning (TinyML): Hardware implementations of artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms; real-time operating systems (RTOS); System-on-Chip (SoC) and FPGA design; and ultra-low-power edge computing devices.
Intelligent Automation, Control Systems & Robotics: Adaptive and predictive control algorithms; autonomous robotics, mechatronics, and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs); and smart manufacturing systems aligned with Industry 4.0/5.0 paradigms.
Smart Telecommunications & Advanced Connectivity: Antenna design for 5G/6G networks; wireless power transfer technologies; cognitive radio and intelligent reflecting surfaces (IRS); and advanced digital signal and image processing.
Publication Frequency
To ensure rigorous editorial oversight, thorough peer review, and the timely dissemination of advancements in intelligent electronics, JSET is published semi-annually (2 issues per year, typically scheduled for release in June and December). Special thematic issues focusing on emerging electro-technologies—such as TinyML for smart sensors, cybersecurity in smart grid architectures, or energy-harvesting electronics—may be commissioned by the Editorial Board.
Peer Review Process
JSET enforces a strict double-blind peer review policy to maintain the highest standards of academic integrity, analytical objectivity, and empirical validity across all electrical engineering and smart technology disciplines.
The mission of the Journal of Smart Electro-Technology (JSET) is to advance global electrical and electronic engineering scholarship by publishing rigorous, evidence-based research that bridges traditional hardware design with cutting-edge artificial intelligence and connectivity. Grounded in the philosophy that the future of technology lies in systems that are not only powerful but also intrinsically intelligent, adaptive, and energy-efficient, the journal aims to democratize electro-technology research by providing an unrestricted platform for global academic, industrial, and practitioner dialogue. Through the promotion of diverse, rigorous experimental, computational, and design-based methodologies, JSET seeks to empower electrical engineers, inspire embedded systems innovators, and shape a more intelligent, interconnected, and sustainable technological landscape worldwide.
